The recent CDI UK Career Development Awards (UKCDA) were once again a wonderful event full of recognition and achievement across the sector.
Held at the Hilton East Midlands Airport Hotel on 26 June 2023, the CDI brought together nominees and special guests to celebrate the work of Careers practitioners.
NICEC congratulates all of the nominees and winners for their fantastic work and achievement in being recognised at this years UKCDAs.
Four current NICEC Fellows also had reason to celebrate as Jane Artess, Rosemary McLean, Michelle Stewart and Nicki Moore were awarded CDI Fellowships. Jane, Rosemary and Nicki previously held the title of legacy Fellows due to their involvement with predecessor organisations in the sector.
The night built to a real highlight when Dr Lyn Barham was bestowed with the Rodney Cox Lifetime Achievement Award. As The CDI outline,
This award is presented annually to someone who has been a champion of careers education and guidance; who has supported the work of the profession in a variety of ways and who stands as representing excellence, having achieved a significant amount in the field of careers guidance.
Compered by David Morgan, CDI Chief Executive, the Awards once again showcased the strength of practice across the Careers sector and highlighted so much that we can be proud of.
