NICEC Fellow Professor Pete Robertson of Edinburgh Napier University recently appeared before the Work & Pensions Committee as part of their inquiry into "Get Britain Working: Reforming Jobcentres."

This inquiry marks the first in a series responding to the Government's "Get Britain Working" White Paper, which aims to increase employment by reforming Jobcentres. The government proposes shifting the focus of these centres away from solely monitoring benefit compliance towards a new jobs and careers service with a stronger emphasis on skills development and career progression.

It's fantastic to see NICEC Fellows contributing to policy discussions and Professor Robertson's expertise in career education and counselling provided valuable insights to the Committee on this issue.
