NICEC is happy to announce a call for papers for Volume 55 of our journal, due for publication in Autumn 2025.

While the journal welcomes submissions on all career-related topics, this issue will feature a special collection focused on "Career Development as a Practice of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI)," guest-edited by Emily Róisín Reid.

This upcoming issue aims to showcase practical examples and "what works" in JEDI-focused career development approaches, particularly those supporting individuals from minoritized communities. The editors are particularly interested in amplifying the voices and perspectives of career scholars and practitioners from these underrepresented groups.

Submissions are encouraged in a variety of formats, including original research, theoretical papers, evaluation studies, case studies of innovative career guidance approaches, and reflective commentaries on personal experiences within the field. Alternative article types and formats aligned with the special issue's aims will also be considered.

Prospective authors are encouraged to discuss their proposed contributions with either Emily Róisín Reid ([email protected]) or Tristram Hooley ([email protected]), the Chief Editor.

The deadline for full first drafts is June 30, 2025. Following peer review, authors will receive feedback and decisions by August 25th, with revisions due by September 19th. The publication process will continue with proof reviews in October, culminating in the issue's release on November 4, 2025.

Detailed submission guidelines, including formatting and word count requirements, are available on the NICEC website.

All submissions must be made through the journal's online submission system.
